  • New Orpheus!

    June 2022: Starting June 14th, Chibueze will be taking over the role of Orpheus on the Hadestown tour! He will begin this run in San Francisco, and he can’t wait to share his take on the character around the country.

  • Hadestown

    August 2021: Chibueze is going way down with the touring cast of Hadestown! His first national tour, he’s excited to see the country as a member of the Worker’s Chorus. He will also be the understudy for Orpheus. The tour launches at the Peace Center in Greenville, SC on 10/5.

  • How to Break

    July 2021: Chibueze joined the workshop cast of “How to Break,” a new hip-hop musical about two teenage dancers navigating life through their illnesses. He will be the voice of Joel Greene, a 17-year old b-boy who lives with sickle-cell disease, while Joel’s body will be portrayed by a professional break dancer. The project produced by Hi-ARTS will have a industry showing on 7/29.

  • Once

    June/July 2021: Chibueze ventured to the gorges of Ithaca for this production of “Once” at Hangar Theatre. It was a production of many firsts: first regional show out of college, first time playing guitar onstage, and first time doing a Czech accent for the character Andrej. You can see him strumming in this Irish fairytale from 7/1 – 7/18.

  • Graduation!

    May 2021: After four wonderful years, Chibueze graduated from NYU Tisch! He earned his BFA in Drama, and received the “Outstanding Achievement in Studio” award by the faculty of the New Studio on Broadway. Though the road was hard, Chibueze is proud that he and his peers graduated with one of the greatest obstacles imaginable: a global pandemic. He cherishes the memories they made in NYC together, and looks forward to the journey ahead.

  • Esther: Heart of a Queen

    Summer 2019: Chibueze performed in the NYC workshop premiere of Esther: Heart of a Queen. In this story about the empowering rise of Jewish orphan Esther in ancient Persia, Chibueze played one of five Eunuchs who sang and narrated the story. All of the other actors, including Dancing with the Stars winner Sharna Burgess, portrayed their characters solely through dance.
