About Me

Chibueze is a child of proud Nigerian immigrants.

Growing up, Chibueze worked to honor the sacrifices that his parents made while also nurturing the passions of the artist inside of him. They hoped he’d become a doctor, so he found a way to merge their dreams and his: he strives to heal with the art he makes.

There are so many stories that need to be told, so much pain that we hold onto from experiences in our lives, and Chibueze believes that music and theater have the power to give voice to the stories of the unheard and remedy some of the pain we have inside.

He also strongly believes in the power of representation in arts. Chibueze is thankful for the radiant black artists whose excellence poured out of his childhood TV screen.
